Here's a fun engagement session I've been hoping to share for awhile now. So many fun weddings, engagements, life happenings that I get to be a part of that I hope to share on here when time allows. These two were SO great...loved getting to know them through the process. Erin is a lovely and super talented wedding photographer from dearest So Cal. Grant an Illinois native who has a myriad of talents including but not limited to skateboarding and some great musical inclinations. Little did I know when they booked that we'd have such a great time along the way. Her and Grant were up for anything and I'd long been hoping to shoot out in the desert. More to share from this shoot hopefully soon. I swore when I started this all that I would NEVER shoot on railroad tracks. EVER. Sometimes though a great location calls for a promise to be broken.

You'll remember these two from the fun roadtrip engagement session we did last year. They were married last fall in one of the most creative and joyous celebrations I've yet to be a part of. The setting was a blank slate of an equestrian center in which Jenny's family has long been a part of in her hometown. From that they built everything from the ground up and made it a really personal, relaxed, and fun setting for the many family and friends that came to celebrate. Jenny really is beyond wonderful in so many ways and makes everyone around her feel so loved. Chad always brings a party so it made for a rather great day : )
You can read more about all the details that went into the day and see more from the wedding over at Style Me Pretty today!

A lovely seaside celebration I had the pleasure of being a part of last year. Alexandra and Jeremy were truly such a wonderful couple. For me, it's so important to connect with the couples I shoot with on a personal level. The last thing I want is to simply be another vendor. Thankfully there was nothing of the sort to worry about with these two. It was a gorgeous day celebrated with their closest friends and family. Myself and my second shooter were welcomed in amongst them. It was such a well done affair. Incredibly classy but far from stuffy. They were married in a historic church in Alex's hometown, we then galavanted a bit in the dunes, and headed over to a wonderful reception that felt as if someone simply opened up their home to you for the most incredible dinner party you've ever been to. I absolutely loved being a part of their day and hope to have many more like it.
